Travel is provided during course time to and from our premises and all programme-related materials are provided.

All of our Programmes are delivered at the Youth Services Department of YMCA Taranaki.

We offer Level 1 and 2 NZQF awards, which could lead to NCEA level 1 and 2 Certificate completion. These programmes can support eligible learners in further study, apprenticeships and employment. Refer to our course information for the full description of our programmes.
- Or try out one of our FREE short courses to assist you in making study or employment decisions:

- Y-Skills for Life – Intensive Literacy and Numeracy Programme. FREE For any domestic student 16 years or over with low or no prior learning. Refer to our course information for full description and conditions. A part-time course -up to 20 hours per week. Receive 80-300 hours of expert teaching to raise reading, writing and math skills, boosting future options.

- ACE – Orientation/ Transition Short Courses. FREE For any domestic student 16 years or over, not enrolled in school or TEC funded training elsewhere. Refer to our course information for full description and conditions.

Short course – up to 90 hours each. Supporting learners to transition into employment OR further study, supporting skill development as a series of small projects with embedded digital-literacy, literacy and numeracy learning.

The National Council of YMCA’s has been an NZQA registered Private Training establishment since 1991. Youth Guarantee-funded programmes of study are NZQA approved.
