We offer a wide range of safe and engaging recreational activities for children of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. Our goal is to nurture our Tamariki’s mental, spiritual, and physical development while catering to their unique needs.
We offer Before School, After School and School Holiday Programmes for children ages 5 to 13 years. We can even offer care for your younger children at our Y Taranaki childcare.

After School Care: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Starting from $13.00 to $23.50 per session
Before School care is based at the Central YMCA site on Liardet Street – activities and breakfast are provided before preparing for school drop offs in the YMCA vans.
Drop-offs available to the following schools:
We have school based care at Mangorei, Welbourn, Vogeltown and Woodleigh Schools and for all other schools at our Central YMCA Site on Liardet Street.
After School care includes Afternoon Tea snack and diverse daily activities from sports to arts and crafts, baking and free play. Our management and staff strategically plan activities to suit the season and the range of children enrolled in our care.
